The Gateway 

Applying the methodology of centering awareness based on the foundations leads to withdrawal of the senses. It is a natural and familiar state of remembrance that can be described as a feeling of "coming home", or a state where "consciousness is resting at its own place". It is a state of fine balance, comfort and freedom.

 

When senses are withdrawn the gateway opens between the objective and the subjective realm. This Gateway is a non-dimensional point, a threshold that has many different names in many different cultures. It is the bindu of the yogis, the mysterious gate or point zero of the daoists. Modern science would call it a singularity. It is closely related to the hypnagogic state, the transitional state from wakefulness to sleep. It is the place where the tangible and intangible meet.

It is a source of creativity and inspiration.

It is the meeting point of all dimensions.

It is an opening that leads to infinite inner spaces.

It is the mirror between realities.

It is where the two spirals of duality meet.

It is the chariot to travel on the rainbow of consciousness.

It is the state of such relaxation that you lose all awareness of the body and sensory stimulation named as "Condition C" by Robert Monroe the modern researcher of out of body experiences.

It is close to the ‘+6 state’ defined by John C. Lilly, a maverick neuroscientist, one of the first psychonauts and a pioneer in the field of contemplative science.

It may be identified with the Assemblage point defined by Carlos Castaneda. The “valve of consciousness” that creates the interpretation of “reality”.

As we pass this threshold, this "valve of consciousness" we may experience non-ordinary or expanded states of consciousness, such as:

1. FLOW

2. Lucid Dreaming

3. Yoga nidra

4. Out of body experiences

5. Meditation
